Wilsonville Road Interchange

Project Description

ODOT and the City of Wilsonville are working on projects to improve traffic flow and safety at the Wilsonville Road / I-5 interchange. ODOT is beginning research and design development for construction in the area, which will include modification of ramps from I-5 to provide adequate motor vehicle access, and improvements to Wilsonville Road. The anticipated northbound off-ramp work will impact Parkway Avenue, a local street. The project includes a cul-de-sac at the end of Parkway Avenue near Wilsonville Road, and realignment of Parkway Avenue to the south of Wilsonville Road is anticipated. This road work along with ramp work may require some right-of-way acquisition. The project will also examine whether there are other issues (such as wetlands, historic resources, or water quality) that would need to be addressed at this interchange.

The design development phase of this project, scheduled for completion this summer, includes completion of surveying, environmental services, pavement design, traffic analysis, hydrological/hydraulic analysis, geotechnical services, roadway design, plans, cost estimates, identification of right-of-way impacts, and utility coordination.

Project Status

The preliminary design of the project is currently under review. A public open house was held in October of 2009 to discuss the design. Please check back later for more detailed information.
